Overview

The Cage Operations Specialist is responsible for providing technical and operational assistance for ticket redemption systems, automated teller machines (ATM), automated check machines (ACM), and various other equipment within the Cage Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining, operating, and repairing ticket redemption systems, ATMs, ACMs, and other Cage equipment.
  • Responding promptly to service requests for the machinery.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware issues related to Cage equipment.
  • Identifying, researching, isolating, resolving, and following up on routine user issues, escalating more complex problems to the Cage Technician Supervisor or the vendor.
  • Providing training to casino staff on the proper operation of equipment.
  • Documenting and tracking all issues that negatively impact guest service or disrupt operations.
  • Maintaining historical records and documentation of problems for all Cage machinery.
  • Offering recommendations to Cage management for enhancements to existing procedures related to Cage equipment through daily reports.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A one-year certificate in electronics from a college or technical school is preferred; alternatively, three to six months of relevant experience and/or training in electronics, or a combination of education and experience. Experience in cash handling or previous cashiering roles is advantageous.

Technical Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess knowledge of basic computer hardware and software, with troubleshooting skills being a plus.

Additional Qualifications

Strong customer service skills are essential. Basic math skills are required. Candidates should maintain a professional appearance and be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.

Language Proficiency

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is necessary.
