Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lear Corporation. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, fixturing, and tooling for our plant, including forklifts, material handling equipment, air compressors, boilers, HVAC equipment, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance activities on various types of equipment, including automated lines, air compressors, vacuum equipment, boilers, forklifts, and HVAC equipment.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and data to ensure sound maintenance management of all equipment, building, and grounds.
  • Collect data pertinent to maintaining all equipment and assist engineering and facilities management in managing outside contractors.
  • Assist engineers in setting up and debugging new and modified equipment and have responsibility for project management or projects within the scope of the Maintenance Department.
  • Participate in team activities where maintenance input is required and assist engineering and facilities management in special projects.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of Predictive Maintenance (Temperature, Vibration, and Oil)
  • Read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and troubleshoot
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, read ladder logic, and troubleshoot
  • Basic knowledge of Instrumentation and Calibration and troubleshoot
  • Installation of 120/240/480V electrical wiring systems and Industrial Electrical Control Panels
  • Read and understand welding blueprints and perform heavy fabrication
  • Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience in maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment, excellent mechanical and electrical abilities, strong knowledge of PLCs, programming, and troubleshooting skills, and a technical education applicable to maintenance
  • High School Diploma/GED
