Premise Health is seeking a highly skilled Injury Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our occupational health and safety team, you will play a critical role in preventing workplace injuries and promoting a healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Physical Demands Analyses to identify high-risk work areas and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with onsite medical teams and client safety teams to implement effective injury prevention strategies.
- Develop and lead training sessions on functional movement patterns, job simulations, and educational programs for occupational health and safety.
- Provide client follow-up and make recommendations for work performance based on knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and ergonomic principles.
- Perform injury/musculoskeletal screening and assessment, covering areas such as history, observation, palpation, range of motion, and muscle strength.
- Provide basic first aid in alignment with OSHA first aid standards to prevent recordable incidents.
- Care coordination and communication with on-site medical providers.
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, and EMR documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology) from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC First Aid.
- Experience in Health/Fitness Industry; Experience in Occupational Health and Safety; Knowledge of current OSHA regulations preferred.
- Experience in Ergonomics preferred.
