We are in search of a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer who can oversee the geotechnical elements of various projects, conduct thorough geotechnical assessments, offer foundation recommendations, and provide guidance during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities for this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality geotechnical services within established timelines and budget constraints
  • Drafting and revising reports, specifications, plans, and designs for projects
  • Acting as a technical expert within a multidisciplinary team
  • Designing and managing subsurface exploration initiatives
  • Estimating costs, defining project scope, and preparing proposals
  • Ensuring the completeness and precision of design efforts
  • Utilizing design software to formulate engineering recommendations
  • Engaging in Design/Build projects, collaborating with contractors and construction teams regarding feasibility and cost implications related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling
  • Conducting on-site work for clients or in project offices as necessary
  • Participating in project scoping, fee estimation, proposal development, and interviews
  • Executing design calculations and performing investigations to support design recommendations and the creation of contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates)
Qualifications:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical design is required
  • Experience with static and dynamic load testing is highly desirable
  • Field experience related to site grading, slope stabilization, retaining wall, and foundation construction is preferred
  • Professional Engineer Certification is mandatory
  • Experience in Design Build projects is advantageous
