Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting baked bread as it passes by on the conveyor and upturning any loaves that have turned over or have fallen on the side.
  • Rejecting any damaged or defective bread.
  • Stacking and removing bread pans to/from conveyor belts.
  • Removing bread/baskets from conveyor belt and placing on racks.
  • Performing quality control inspection of finished product.
  • Ensuring that product is loaded onto rack and stacked correctly.
  • Maintaining a clean work area, dumping trash, and carrying buns to dumpsters.
  • Performing various other duties as assigned by Plant Supervisors.

Requirements:

  • A strong sense of urgency and sharp attention to detail.
  • Previous commercial baking experience, including the operation of bread, bun/roll, and/or muffin production with a focus on dough mixing and developing, dividing, and/or oven operation is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours daily.
  • Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of 6 feet.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs from floor to above waist.
  • Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as needed.
  • 18+ years of age or older.
