Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Respiratory Department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team and help us deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients for appropriate respiratory therapy services and develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
