Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating housekeeping operations within designated areas, while also stepping in to fulfill the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Manager during their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

The Team Leader will be required to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Conduct daily inspections of Room Attendants' performance within assigned areas to ensure compliance with established standards and productivity benchmarks.
  • In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, perform inspections of all VIP rooms and communicate their status to the Front Office in accordance with hotel protocols.
  • Supervise the closing procedures of floors at the end of each day, ensuring that Room Attendants' carts are properly cleaned and restocked.
  • Ensure that daily assignment records are accurately completed, signed, and submitted to the Housekeeping Office punctually.
  • Maintain control over keys.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and organization of Room Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
  • Oversee the daily distribution of tasks, ensuring that Room Attendants and House Attendants have assigned responsibilities.
  • Report on the status of all out-of-order rooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Department to the Guest Services Manager, adhering to established standards.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance personnel to communicate the status of out-of-order rooms.
  • Assist in the training and development of Housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction through effective management of housekeeping operations.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a hotel-related role is required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 20 lbs.
