Electronics Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Streamlight Inc. as an RF Testing Specialist. As an RF Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet CE standards and other RF and ESD related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply electronic theory to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment, including RF devices and systems.
  • Conduct RF emissions and susceptibility testing on new products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate measurement equipment to collect data for testing and analysis.
  • Design and set up test apparatus to validate product performance.
  • Conduct functional and life tests on prototype and production models to ensure reliability and quality.
  • Analyze data and write technical reports to document testing results and recommendations.
  • Recommend changes to improve product reliability and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Control departments to develop and implement test procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate electronics lab equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in a related field, such as electronics engineering or a related field, with at least five years of experience in RF testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC test equipment and procedures, including RF measurement techniques.
  • Experience with batteries, LEDs, and microprocessors, as well as circuit design and building.
  • Ability to use standard and specialized electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Proficiency in reading technical instructions and schematics, including RF circuit diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
