POSITION OBJECTIVE
This role serves as the primary liaison with residents, ensuring exceptional service and high-quality meal delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Exhibits the necessary knowledge and skills to cater dietary services to both internal and external clientele.
2. Takes initiative and accountability for performance, guaranteeing that every customer receives top-notch food service.
3. Upholds a safe and sanitary environment within the dietary department.
4. Prepares and serves meals in accordance with therapeutic diets, ensuring they are visually appealing and enjoyable.
5. Ensures that residents receive their chosen meals in appropriate portion sizes.
6. Confirms that all requested items are available and properly prepared.
7. Follows the unit's dress standards and participates in all required meetings and training sessions.
8. Demonstrates service excellence by embodying the organization's mission and values to enhance resident satisfaction.
9. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures to maintain quality job performance and compliance with regulations.
10. Maintains open communication with management regarding any relevant situations.
11. Ensures cleanliness in the work area to meet sanitary standards.
12. Completes required training within designated timeframes and maintains active communication.
13. Remains vigilant about safety hazards and reports them immediately.
14. Monitors and maintains cleanliness in dining areas before and after meals, ensuring tables, chairs, and utensils are sanitized. Restocks condiment receptacles and manages beverage supplies according to meal schedules.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and communicating effectively.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of handling standardized situations with minimal variability.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers, and counting abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position demands a full range of physical movements, including constant walking, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to sit for up to one hour daily, stand for four to six hours, and walk for one hour. The individual must be capable of lifting between twenty to fifty pounds and reaching overhead. Good eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills are essential for simple grasping tasks. Excellent verbal communication skills are necessary for daily operations. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
