EMT Instructor

Job Description:

NORCAL Ambulance is seeking a highly qualified EMT Instructor to join our team. As an EMT Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and demonstrating EMT skills to students, ensuring that instruction and curriculum are up-to-date and delivery methods are effective and consistent.

• Teach and demonstrate EMT skills to students
• Monitor and replenish supplies as needed
• Provide course instruction based on approved syllabus/course lesson plans
• Utilize various teaching techniques to accommodate diverse student learning styles
• Assist in administration, proctoring, and grading of examinations
• Assist in development and retention of Externship sites for students
• Actively support student retention by maintaining accurate attendance records and communicating concerns to the EMT Coordinator
• Tutor and provide student assistance as needed
• Work with the EMT Coordinator to coordinate clinical rotations
• Maintain professional standards and EMT equipment/supplies inventory

• Current EMT Certification and AHE BLS for Healthcare Provider
• 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine
• Ability to perform all aspects of typical office work, including sitting, standing, stooping, walking, and lifting objects up to 50lbs
• Ability to utilize a computer and phone services, as well as operate Microsoft Suite services
• Ability to make critical decisions and exercise sound judgment
