About the Job

Frito Lay is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use electrical testing equipment (Volt-Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope)
  • Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability
  • Work on a wide variety of equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
  • Conduct repair failures of production and facilities equipment
  • Inspect machines, develop repair lists, and identify short-term and long-term repairs to ensure machines run correctly
  • Work from task lists when diagnosing machines and taking corrective actions
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical certification
  • Maintenance manufacturing experience
  • Technical school training
  • Welding experience
