Job Summary

GL Staffing Services is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Riviera Beach, FL. As a key member of our Shipping and Receiving team, you will be responsible for verifying the receipt of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and returned finished product to ensure the integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the quality and documentation of incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and returned finished product.
  • Collect and verify COAs (Certificate of Analysis) against vendor specifications and notify vendors of any discrepancies.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in incoming materials compared to product specifications.
  • Perform visual quality inspections of raw ingredients and finished products.
  • Conduct daily pre-dispatch quality checks on all product lines being shipped.
  • Verify that truck, product, and pallet configurations meet customer requirements for all shipments.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper logs, filing and maintaining records for all incoming and outgoing product.
  • Support other QA functions as required by the Technical Services Department.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a lab environment or a food, drug, or consumer goods manufacturing environment with basic food safety knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of GMPs and SOPs, familiarity with HACCP and SQF.
  • Advanced math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and conversions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment for long periods.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
