We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Tech to join our team at AdventHealth Littleton. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of supplies.
- Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Use physician preference cards to identify supplies and equipment needed for procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare solutions and medications used during procedures, properly labeling and reporting amounts used for charting.
- 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist.
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
