Job Title: Calibration Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Calibration Engineer to join our team at The BarTech Group, Inc. As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing powertrain calibrations for internal combustion and hybrid electric powertrains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop powertrain calibrations that meet all program requirements, including drivability, performance, emissions, fuel economy, functional safety, and diagnostics.
  • Design and conduct testing to validate powertrain and vehicle attributes.
  • Analyze and present summarized data collected in vehicle to validate and document powertrain calibrations.
  • Conduct in-vehicle/lab/simulation testing and development in SE Michigan.
  • May also conduct in-vehicle testing and development at various test sites, including Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Michigan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration delivering drivability, emissions, or OBD.
  • 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration delivering drivability, emissions, or OBD attributes.
  • Strong understanding and experience with calibration and data acquisition tools such as ATI Vision, ETAS INCA, or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables concurrently.
