We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our anesthesia team at Auburn University. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our veterinarians in delivering high-quality anesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care to small animal patients undergoing procedures
- Monitor and interpret complex information through continuous physiological monitoring
- Work closely with specialty services to ensure patients receive appropriate care
- Develop and maintain specialized anesthetic skills, including capnography and peripheral nerve stimulation
- Inspect, operate, and troubleshoot veterinary anesthesia equipment
- Advocate for patient comfort and pain management
- Teach and mentor veterinary students and technicians in anesthetic best practices
- Active license with the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Technician, or eligibility to become licensed within 6 months
- Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in veterinary technology or clinical experience, depending on level
- Competitive salary range: $31,200 - $54,200
- Flexible scheduling with option of a five-day or four-day workweek
