Job SummaryWe are seeking highly motivated and qualified Undergraduate Information Technology (IT) Interns to join our team. As an IT Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a manager and mentor, participating in ongoing projects at one of the most unique experimental sites in the United States.
Responsibilities- Participate in hands-on projects, gaining valuable experience and skills in IT.
- Work independently and as part of a team, following directions and meeting deadlines.
- Develop strong computer skills, including MS Office and computer programming.
- Provide level I support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and/or network issues.
- Assist with installing and upgrading hardware and software.
- Interface with clients via chat, phone, or walk-in.
- Perform client call backs and create/update incident tickets.
- Draft and edit knowledge articles.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Completion of the first year in a computer science degree program at an accredited institution.
- Must be actively enrolled in school.
- Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be located in the contiguous United States.
- Must have planning/organizing skills and initiative.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and computer programming.
- A pre-placement drug screen is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential.
The hourly range for this position is $22.46.
