Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a key member of our cloud computing team, you will play a critical role in helping U.S. Department of Defense organizations implement innovative cloud solutions and solve technical problems.

About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with at least 8 years of experience in cloud computing, software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics. Your expertise should include design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. Additionally, a bachelor's degree, or a relevant certification such as CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP, is required.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, providing inputs to RFI and RFP responses, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is $150,000-$200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
