Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mobile Crisis Clinician to join our team at the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network. As a Mobile Crisis Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing direct clinical services, including crisis intervention and de-escalation, to individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical services, including crisis intervention and de-escalation, to individuals of all ages.
  • Perform indirect clinical services, including timely and complete case documentation, following DWIHN policies and procedures.
  • Document all crisis intervention activities in the electronic medical record to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide coordination and follow-up for clients, assisting in obtaining necessary additional services and coordinating with the Access Center or the patient's current outpatient therapy plan.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, crisis/safety plans, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in agency and system staff meetings, as well as community meetings.
  • Collaborate with schools, law enforcement, and other organizations to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Assist individuals and families in developing natural supports to increase success in the community.
  • Provide counseling, guidance, support, resources, and encouragement to individuals served to promote active participation in their own recovery.
  • Respond to on-call duties, including responding to calls from mobile crisis clinicians and peers.
  • Provide mobile crisis services in the community.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field.
  • One year of full-time paid professional clinical experience working in crisis services or a closely related area.
  • A valid State of Michigan clinical licensure: RN, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LLP, or PhD.
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions

Employees in this classification must travel throughout Wayne County, visiting homes, community-based settings, hospitals, schools, courts, and other locations. Mobile Crisis Operations is a 24/7 unit, and candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including day, afternoon, and midnight shifts.
