Position Overview

Compensation: $16.50 per hour

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure punctuality and adherence to uniform standards for every scheduled shift.
  • Verify the initial cash balance at the start of each shift to confirm accuracy.
  • Safeguard cash transactions and maintain the security of funds.
  • Process payments and issue receipts or tickets for each customer transaction.
  • Calculate or adjust billing amounts based on customer tickets.
  • Operate the cash register to compute transaction totals and display costs.
  • Provide pricing information for parking services and collect payments accordingly.
  • Assist customers with directions to various city locations.
  • Complete forms for lost tickets when necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when needed.
  • Answer phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and surrounding environment.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure adequate supplies and work aids are available.
  • Reconcile shift transaction logs with cash on hand.
  • Compile daily revenue reports and document transactions accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience: To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively.

Education and Experience: A minimum of less than high school education or up to one month of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on the needs of the location, including potential availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with an up-to-date address and acceptable driving record is mandatory.

Mathematical Proficiency: Candidates should possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Language Proficiency: The ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos is essential. Candidates should also be able to write basic correspondence and effectively communicate in small group settings.

Reasoning Skills: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and address problems involving standard variables.

Additional Skills: Proficiency in using standard timekeeping methods, calculators, or credit card machines for transactions is required. Candidates should maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with customers and effectively resolve issues.
