Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at AMG Specialty Hospital - Zachary. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of returning patients to their optimal level of well-being.

• Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, and aerosol devices.
• Administer medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications.
• Maintain clearance of patients' natural and artificial airways.
• Obtain blood samples and interpret blood gas data.
• Provide primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

• Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
• Active Louisiana Respiratory License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
