Travel Nurse RN Psychiatric

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Staffing. As a Psychiatric RN, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who are experiencing mental health issues and provide them with the care and support they need to recover.
About the JobThis is a 13-week travel nursing assignment with a top healthcare client in Batavia, New York. You will be working 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts. As a Psychiatric RN, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health issues. You will work closely with medical providers and mental health staff to provide total medical care for the patient.
Responsibilities- Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in the design and delivery of patient care.
- Administer and monitor the effectiveness and side-effects of psychotropic medications.
- Assist patients and families as appropriate to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and to plan healthy lifestyle changes.
- Exercise balanced judgment in evaluation situations and make decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a professional manner.
- Active RN License
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Psychiatric setting
- Weekly pay and direct deposit
