POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer is accountable for executing routine upkeep and repairs. This role encompasses both minor and major preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as troubleshooting basic equipment issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. The engineer will also support departmental projects, oversee cosmetic enhancements to facility finishes, and assist in various aspects of facilities maintenance as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate the training and onboarding process for both new and existing personnel. Execute significant maintenance and repairs on facility equipment as directed, particularly in HVAC systems. Provide suggestions for process enhancements. Responsible for comprehensive facilities maintenance, including but not limited to:
  • Diagnosing and repairing or replacing malfunctioning rooftop unit compressors.
  • Conducting routine inspections of all lighting fixtures throughout the property, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Responding to maintenance requests and internal calls within the specified timeframe.
  • Managing pool facilities (if applicable) as assigned.
  • Working autonomously while informing supervisors of any additional support needed.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized workspace within the engineering shop.
  • Completing daily work documentation.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of all relevant rules, regulations, and controls.
  • Complying with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required; an Associate's degree (A.A.) or relevant certification in HVAC is preferred. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning maintenance, Rational Combination Ovens, Ice Machines, and Chiller Plants. A minimum of 5 years of trade experience, apprenticeship, or on-the-job training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred certifications include HVACR Certification, EPA I & II or Universal license, Certified Pool Operator, RPZ Inspection, Building Controls, Life Safety Controls, and CFESA Certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary. Applicants must successfully complete a physical abilities test for essential job functions, including a color vision test. This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals, maintenance instructions, and related materials. Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
