Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinician in the T12 Cardiology department. This is a full-time, dayshift role that offers a generous sign-on bonus and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and manage shifts effectively.
  • Develop and implement education programs for staff, including orientation and training.
  • Guide colleagues on cultural diversity and workplace issues, and act as a preceptor for new and experienced nurses.
  • Apply performance improvement tools, integrate research and best practices, and share knowledge across units.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and effective communication with the healthcare team, and build compassionate relationships with patients and families.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience for Clinician Fellow role.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience for Clinician role.
  • Four years of nursing experience required for Sr. Clinician role.
  • Prior progressive leadership experience strongly preferred for external hires.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state.
  • National Certification preferred.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
