Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the maintenance team to ensure the upkeep of facilities, manage repairs, implement preventative maintenance, and fulfill stormwater obligations while coordinating with vendors and managing budgets and work orders.
  • Supervise all administrative and operational tasks related to plant maintenance, machine repairs, and inspections.
  • Establish and maintain a routine inspection and maintenance schedule for all processing machinery, including fluid products, refrigeration units, and other plant equipment.
  • Maintain essential business records that support the operational and administrative needs of the facility.
  • Keep updated blueprints of facilities, utility layouts, and technical manuals for machinery and refrigeration systems for operational reference.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage staff in alignment with the organization's policies and relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the design and manufacturing of production equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations for product and process piping, sanitary equipment, and other systems.
  • Document all schematic and diagram modifications to ensure current plant records.
  • Ensure adherence to all aspects of the Preventive Service Maintenance (PSM) program.
  • Distribute tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the accuracy and completion of assigned work.
  • Draft, update, and maintain standard operating procedures and manuals for departmental repairs and maintenance.

Required Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, strong mathematical and statistical skills, proficient computer skills for data entry, report generation, and program tracking, along with excellent organizational and follow-through capabilities.

Physical Requirements: The employee must regularly use hands for handling and feel; communicate effectively; and occasionally crawl, squat, kneel, reach, climb, or balance. The role may require lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The employee may be exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and moderate to high noise levels.
