Hypertension Research Leadership Opportunity

The National Medical Association invites applications for a Medical Director for Hypertension Initiatives to lead the innovative research project: "Multi-ethnic Multi-level Strategies and Behavioral Economics to Eliminate Hypertension Disparities in LA County." As a seasoned leader in health equity and research, you will drive the project's success by overseeing planning, implementation, and evaluation, while ensuring alignment with the project's objectives.

About the Project:

  • This role is critical in advancing health equity and addressing systemic disparities in hypertension care for underserved communities.
  • You will provide leadership and support to external facilitators, fostering collaboration and alignment with the project's goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the project's planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Work closely with primary care clinic teams to help implement effective strategies that empower clinic personnel and improve equitable delivery of care for patients and their communities.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • Academic background and experience in selected areas of research.
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative, budgetary, human resources, and financial principles and practices.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups to achieve results.
  • Highly skilled fundraising experience required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $102,500-$227,700. The benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth and development.
