We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Imaging Technician to join our team at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

The Ultrasound team is dedicated to providing high-quality care at SLU Hospital. Our technicians work closely with our Residents and Attendings, including our renowned liver and kidney transplant team. We use GE Logiq E9 machines and perform various scans, including abdomens, small parts, and gyn/first trimester ER's.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct diagnostic imaging exams according to established protocols.
  2. Specialize in echocardiography: Conduct two-dimensional, three-dimensional, m-mode, color flow, Doppler flow, ejection fraction, dobutamine and stress echocardiograms as per Echo Lab policy and standards set by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.
  3. Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and families about exam procedures and obtain informed consent.
  4. Take a thorough medical, cardiac, or vascular history from patients prior to exams.
  5. Create and update patient charts with accurate information, entering details into the PACS System or Electronic Medical Record.
  6. Maintain digital archives of imaging studies for review and interpretation by the Medical Director or designee.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Graduation from an Allied Health program in Echocardiography/Cardiac Imaging
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience preferred, new graduates welcome
  • Required Licensure/Certification: BLS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated Salary Range: $61,500 - $84,000 per year (based on 40 hours/week and $30.91/hour)
