Job Summary

United Digestive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and be self-directed
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse Manager to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Experience in GI endoscopy preferred
  • Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged
  • Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • ACLS certification is recommended, but optional
Physical and Mental Demands

The ideal candidate will be able to work under stress, with moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Good visual acuity is required, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement, and feel sensation to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape is also necessary. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds are also required.
