Key Responsibilities- Deliver client-centered care under the supervision of the Medical Director, Charge Nurse, and Program Director.
- Work collaboratively with a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to ensure seamless patient care.
- Complete documentation within 24 hours of patient admission, including admission notes, nursing assessments, pre-screen testing, and patient health examinations.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2.
- Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients by maintaining professional boundaries, respecting personal space, and providing direct attention.
- Maintain up-to-date training in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and other areas mandated by organizational policies.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members and demonstrate the ability to work as a team member.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status, such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, and changes in medical status.
- Assist and report to medical providers, conduct required testing, administer medications as ordered, and follow all medical provider orders.
- Monitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage and other symptoms related to drug use and mental health concerns.
- Obtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samples, and process point-of-care urine drug screens per company policy.
- Prepare take-home medication, monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversion, and communicate with clinical staff on client progress.
- Maintain accurate client records, document accurate counts of controlled substance medication administration, and order necessary medications.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory records, adhere to all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulations, and provide support to the overall operations of the clinic.
- Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state and maintains current licensure per state requirements.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Detoxification experience preferred.
- Current (five-years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions.
- Required to have a current TB immunization and/or verification incumbent is a rector.
A minimum of a Graduated from a community college with a Practical Nursing Degree or RN degree.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization, and/or outpatient setting preferred.
Salary: $36.00 per hour
