Position Overview:
As an Imaging Technician at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging department, utilizing advanced technology to capture high-quality images for medical evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Positioning:** Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters for imaging procedures.
2. **Safety Compliance:** Implement and adhere to radiation protection and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
3. **Procedure Assistance:** Prepare and assist physicians during specialized imaging procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
4. **Contrast Administration:** Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
5. **Image Quality Assurance:** Ensure the prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), maintaining accuracy in patient data and history.
6. **Department Maintenance:** Contribute to the upkeep of a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment, including procedure rooms and storage areas.

Qualifications:
- **Education:** Associate's degree or completion of a recognized sonography certification program.
- **Experience:** No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
- **Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent lifting and moving of patients and equipment.

Licenses and Certifications:
- ARRT-R Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Additional certifications may be required within specified timeframes.

Work Environment:
