Position Overview
The role of the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. This position involves overseeing all pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage inventory and oversee prescription processing.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure quality assurance practices are followed.
- Oversee both non-sterile and sterile compounding services, adhering to USP 795 and 797 standards.
- Handle specialty prescriptions and manage antibiotic admixtures.
- Maintain pharmacy licenses and implement standard operating procedures.
- Develop and manage budgets, recruit and train pharmacy personnel, and create quality assurance programs.
- Serve as the primary contact for pharmacy-related inquiries and collaborate with healthcare professionals to address customer concerns.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Valid Texas State Board Pharmacy License.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on sterile compounding experience (5 years preferred).
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of USP 797 regulations and compliance with Texas Board of Pharmacists.
- Proficient technical skills.
