Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Delivery and Customer Service Representative to join our team at Interstate Batteries. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering batteries to customers in a safe and timely manner, while also providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Logistics: Safely deliver batteries to customers on your assigned route, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Sales Growth: Identify opportunities to grow sales through proactive customer engagement and effective sales strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all necessary documentation and reporting, including delivery records and sales reports.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Experience: Previous delivery and customer service experience, with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools, including tablets and scanners.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds, with a valid DOT medical card and a clean driving record.
Working Environment

As a Delivery and Customer Service Representative, you will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to battery warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. You will also be required to regularly use your hands to grasp or handle objects, talk and hear, stand and walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
