Purchasing Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Planner to join our team at Ridgid's world headquarters in Elyria, OH. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for working closely with suppliers and production to ensure efficient and effective movement of materials.

• Run past due supplier reports and follow up as necessary
• Update system messages and report updates to Materials Manager and Business Unit Managers, along with production boards
• Maintain and update purchase parameters based on PFEP
• Monitor daily releases to suppliers and expedite materials as necessary
• Work closely with sourcing and suppliers
• Review supplier on-time delivery performance
• Review slow-moving/excess/obsolete inventory and suggest action
• Work with production planners to communicate shortages
• Work with inventory control to maintain accurate system inventories
• Review blocking orders for purchase parts and follow up as needed
• Work with Materials Manager to maintain a purchased part storage warehouse
• Attend meetings as needed

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant years of experience in inventory control, including materials planning and procurement in a fast-paced plant environment
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Experience in implementing or using JDE
• Experience in warehouse distribution and working with global supply chain
