Job Summary
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Claims Representative Intern. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry and develop skills in claims investigation, policy analysis, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze claims to determine policy coverage and evaluate the amount of loss.
- Review and interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to ensure accurate claims processing.
- Work towards the resolution of claims, including attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate claims payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and entering junior or senior year in college.
- Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to resolve complex issues.
- Organize and interpret data.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Detail-oriented.
Compensation and Benefits
$19.00 per hour. Returning interns may qualify for a higher rate.
