We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lead heavy equipment mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment within our terminals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition, providing technical expertise, and leading a team of mechanics to maintain smooth operations.

This role involves supervising and coordinating the activities of mechanics who repair heavy equipment within the terminal, assessing and repairing heavy-duty lift equipment at the railyard, performing maintenance and mechanical repairs on side loaders, hostlers, forklifts, and other terminal support equipment. You will also collaborate with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Terminal Manager to prioritize tasks and maintenance schedules.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic/service technician experience, previous crane mechanic experience, and strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team of mechanics. Experience in hydraulic systems and driveline component repair is required. The selected candidate will work in various weather conditions and must be able to lift 50lbs. A valid driver's license and passing a pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening are mandatory.
