Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Rigger Helper to support our operations. This role is essential in assisting with various rigging tasks and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and positioning of rigging equipment, including chain falls, hoists, and blocks, under the guidance of a Rigger.
- Select appropriate cables, ropes, and pulleys based on the specifications of the load.
- Utilize knowledge of rigging techniques to attach equipment to fixed structures securely.
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential obstructions and hazards.
- Communicate effectively using verbal and hand signals as required.
- Plan and coordinate the sequence of installations to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare materials and rigging equipment for transportation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and materials.
- Lift and transport objects of varying weights safely.
- Recognize and respond to unsafe conditions promptly.
Working Conditions: The role may involve working in diverse environments, including warehouses and outdoor sites, with exposure to various elements such as dust and adverse weather. Candidates must be capable of accessing elevated positions and confined spaces safely.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and operate necessary equipment and tools. Candidates should be prepared for strenuous physical activity and long periods of standing or bending.
