Job Summary:
The National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a Clinician to provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, comprehensive services to children under the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health assessments and provide ongoing individual and group counseling services, screen for trauma, human trafficking, and crisis intervention services. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, other clinicians, and mental health providers to maintain a therapeutic and emotionally healing environment and establish treatment goals and assist in the implementation of the individualized service plan.
Requirements:
Master's degree in social work with clinical experience in the program and must be licensed or eligible for licensure; OR bachelor's degree plus 5 years clinical employment experience and must be licensed or eligible for licensure (if the state does not offer a license for bachelor degrees, this is not an option). Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families. Ability to work flexible and non-traditional hours with a possibility of being on call on nights/weekends, in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served. Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers. Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
