George Mason University Korea invites applications for a full-time position as an Instructional Assistant Professor of Korean, commencing in Fall 2025. The role involves teaching Korean language at various levels, including courses tailored for heritage speakers.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop new courses and curricula, engage students in experiential learning opportunities, and maintain regular office hours. As a full-time faculty member, the individual will also contribute to student outreach and activities supporting the growth of the Korean Studies program.
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. or ABD status in Korean Linguistics/Language, Korean Applied Linguistics, Korean Language Pedagogy, Second Language Acquisition, or a closely related field. Native or near-native fluency in Korean is essential.
Responsibilities:
