Classroom Driver's Education Specialist

Job Summary:
Ogeechee Technical College is seeking a highly qualified Driver's Education Instructor to provide instruction and guidance for continuing education Driver's Education in-class training for our facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver approved research-based curriculum to promote risk management skills in driving situations for participating students.
- Ensure compliance with state-approved requirements and regulations, including Joshua's Law, to teach young, inexperienced drivers safe driving techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
- Prior to hire, applicant will undergo a driver instructor written exam, doctor-approved physical examination, drug screening, background check, and driving record check, with expenses paid by Ogeechee Technical College.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Classroom instruction experience is requested but not required.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work 8:00 – 5:00, Monday through Thursday, with a class schedule mirroring the Bulloch County Board of Education calendar.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and work experience. No benefits are offered.

Position is contingent upon funding and allocation of position. All positions require a pre-employment criminal background investigation, education, and employer/professional reference checks. Some positions may require additional checks, including a motor vehicle record search, credit history check, and/or drug screen.
