Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to patients in correctional facilities across California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial mental health evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention services and consultation as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Conduct clinically sound suicide risk evaluations and provide consultation as needed.
- Meet with patients for group psychotherapy and in-person interviews.
- Document all care provided to patients, including in-person contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
- Monitor patient progress and apply community standards of practice for non-medical treatment modalities.
- Perform mental status exams and examine patient information from electronic medical records.
- Develop and distribute draft and final discharge plans.
- Provide written reports and consultation with the Board of Prison Hearings and other CDCR/CCHCS staff.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed professional clinical counselor in California by the Board of Behavioral Science.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and hours.
- Must be able to travel to correctional facilities across California.
Compensation:
$50-$53/hour (W2/traveler)
