Job Summary

In this role, Physical Security Officers (PSOs) can expect to work in demanding and fast-paced environments. PSOs may find themselves working in a wide range of areas, including medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. Additionally, PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSO's mission is to protect all people, information, and property assigned, while delivering high-end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-end customer service
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Deterring and preventing crime
  • Performing ingress/egress control procedures
  • Investigating incidents
  • Completing daily logs and incident reports
  • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
  • Building and maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests, and co-workers
  • De-escalating conflicts
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • ACT 235 (current)
  • 21 years of age
  • Current and valid DL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • (1) year experience in armed security recommended
  • Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening, and OPS training requirements
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to work under stress/pressure
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to wear a uniform
  • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) consisting of:
    • Run 100 meters in 66 seconds or less in Armed Security Officer designated uniform, followed by a 10-minute break
    • Perform 30 push-ups (no time limit) followed by a 30-minute break
    • Perform 26 sit-ups (no time limit)
