Responsibilities

Key duties of a Culinary Specialist include:

  • Preparing recipes and cooking menu items according to specifications
  • Managing product inventory and ordering supplies
  • Correctly labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepared food items
  • Executing opening, closing, and side tasks – setting up, stocking, and dismantling all kitchen equipment and prep, line, and expo stations
  • Ensuring a clean and organized kitchen, line, expo, dish area, and back dock
  • Adhering to safety and sanitation protocols
  • Exhibiting a sense of urgency in all tasks
  • Accurately interpreting items on order tickets or automated Kitchen Display Systems
  • Assembling orders while verifying product quality and specifications
  • Demonstrating extensive product knowledge
  • Participating in procedures for handling re-cooks, special preparations, long tickets, and large party/voucher groups

Qualifications

Essential requirements include:

  • Prior experience as a Culinary Specialist is mandatory
  • Ability to stand or move for extended periods
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety and sanitation standards
  • Commitment to recycling products whenever feasible
  • Maintaining composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exhibiting a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and urgency
