Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Therapist to join our team at AMIkids. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in coordinating and implementing recreational activities that promote physical and emotional well-being among our youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our youth.
  • Collaborate with treatment staff to ensure that recreational activities align with individual treatment plans.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to youth on their participation and response to recreational activities.
  • Supervise youth activities and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Research and select appropriate materials, equipment, and resources to support recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative files and records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a residential facility.
  • Certification as a recreational therapist is preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
