Position Summary:
The Lead Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of pharmacy services. This position is integral to maintaining compliance with relevant laws and professional standards while supporting pharmacy leadership in various operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
2. Oversee the training and competency of pharmacy personnel to meet regulatory standards.
3. Maintain accurate records of pharmacy licenses and staff certifications.
4. Participate in departmental operations and contribute to committee meetings related to pharmacy services.
5. Guide and evaluate pharmacy staff, ensuring high-quality performance.
6. Manage staff scheduling and assist in performance evaluations.
7. Support drug inventory management and assist in budget oversight related to pharmacy services.
8. Establish annual goals in collaboration with management and demonstrate progress.
9. Ensure compliance with best practices in compounding and preparation of oncology therapies.
10. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
License/Certification:
Required: Current California Registered Pharmacist license.
Preferred: Pharmacy Practice Residency Certificate.
Education:
Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree.
Experience:
Preferred: Relevant hospital or outpatient pharmacy experience.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $72.90 - $109.36
