We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Qual Pac 1400. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and sweepers.
- Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs, and select repair parts as needed.
- Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
- Maintain and repair batteries and chargers, and apply mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, and building construction issues.
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Familiar with mechanical hand tools and measuring equipment, including tape measures, micrometers, and drill gauges.
- Perform mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors) and multi-craft maintenance and repair.
- Willingness to work under pressure to fix equipment and respond to maintenance calls.
- Ability to inspect machines, develop repair lists, and identify short-term and long-term repairs.
- Strong knowledge of how components interact with PLC's (photo eyes, proximity sensors, etc.).
