Job Description

As a Community Connection Parent Educator with Champions for Children, Inc., you will play a critical role in implementing the Group Connection portion of the Parents as Teachers model. Your primary responsibilities will include developing community relationships, planning and leading Group Connection events, and tracking required data.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Implement the PAT Foundational I and II curriculum, delivering research-based information to families.
  • Organize and lead at least 12 annual group connections, promoting social connections and parent-child interaction activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to co-facilitate Baby Matters classes and Father-focused group connections.
  • Manage accurate records, participate in reflective supervision, and engage in recruitment activities.
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with community partners, including presentations and event participation.

How You Will Thrive:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and empower them by focusing on their strengths.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills, with proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Word, data input, and internet research.
  • Certification as a Parents as Teachers parent educator, with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
