We are seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role within our technical services team. This position involves working closely with our client, focusing on the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).

Remote Work Policy

Please note that while this position is remote, candidates must reside in the Austin, TX area or nearby cities.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate will possess 4-7 years of relevant experience, demonstrating familiarity with standard practices and concepts in the field. This role requires a degree of creativity and independence, with the ability to work under limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives and challenges, identifying alternative solutions and conducting cost/benefit analyses.
  • Examine user requirements and operational procedures to enhance existing systems or automate processes.
  • Collaborate with various organizational units to assess current operations and identify specific data input and output needs.
  • Document user needs, program functions, and development steps for computer programs.
  • Evaluate system capabilities and limitations to determine feasibility of requested changes.

Middleware Coordination

The selected candidate will serve as a central point of contact for all Middleware activities, coordinating TIERS Releases and Maintenance schedules, and addressing issues within the operational ecosystem.

Technical Implementation

From an architectural perspective, the role involves advising on technical implementations, scheduling, automation, and task division within the Middleware Team.

Core Application Support

This position supports core TIERS applications, both on-premise and those migrating to AWS Cloud Services, requiring minimal supervision and extensive initiative.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in installing, deploying, configuring, and administering WebSphere ND clusters on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • 5 years of experience tuning and troubleshooting complex Java-based web applications in a Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • 5 years of knowledge in DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, with experience in automating stages of the DevOps infinity loop.
  • 4 years of experience creating Jenkins pipelines for WebSphere Application Server configurations.
  • 4 years of experience developing Ansible playbooks for WebSphere installations and deployments.
  • 4 years of experience with various scripting methodologies, including UNIX, Jython, YAML, and JSON.
  • 4 years of familiarity with Java and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 4 years of experience using Application Performance Management tools such as DynaTrace and Splunk.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow.
  • 2 years of experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager.
  • 1 year of experience with IBM DataPower.
  • 1 year of experience with Adobe Experience Manager.
  • 1 year of experience with AWS solution architecture and management.
