Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Sanitation Professional to join our team at CHS Inc. in a ready-to-eat sunflower processing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the facility's sanitation program, as well as performing daily sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and maintaining the master sanitation schedule to ensure timely completion of planned tasks
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, including the sanitation room and other non-production spaces
  • Conduct non-routine cleaning and sanitation activities in production areas, including production line and equipment sanitation
  • Test chemicals from the chemical dilution system and collaborate with suppliers to optimize chemical usage
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed for chemicals and paper goods
  • Develop and update sanitation standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Train production employees on sanitation procedures and ensure adherence to sanitation processes
  • Investigate sanitation process deviations and environmental incident reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Support food safety and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Participate in training opportunities to enhance knowledge of sanitation and food safety
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in operations or business operations
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • Pre-employment screenings may be required for certain positions, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, and FMSCA Clearinghouse
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; agriculture experience also preferred

This position offers a competitive total rewards package, including base wage and potentially bonus, incentives, and commissions. Actual pay will vary based on factors such as experience, education, specialized skills, and certifications.
