Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting speech therapy evaluations and treatments to patients to facilitate and maximize functioning level as prescribed by physician. This includes the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function, psychosocial abilities, activities of daily living and health status resulting from injury, diseases or other causes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and perform medical record reviews on all patients prior to the initial intervention which leads to diagnostic classification or referral to another practitioner.
  • Perform evaluations and make independent clinical judgments based on the data gathered from the examination.
  • Synthesize all findings from the history, systems review, and tests and measurements to establish the speech/language diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's level graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology and current Florida licensure, or provisional licensure required. MBSSImP certification is also required within 90 days of hire. Preferably, candidates should have interpretation of video fluoroscopic/MBSSI studies experience, dysphagia experience, and certification of Clinical Competence by the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA).

Compensation Package:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits package.
