iCapital is a leading financial technology platform that powers the world's alternative investment marketplace. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our Distributed Ledger Technology team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, as well as developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for seamless code deployment and integration.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, with a passion for forming and implementing cutting-edge cloud computing capabilities. They will collaborate with blockchain engineers to ensure optimal performance and security of the distributed ledger, and work closely with cross-functional teams to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for seamless code deployment and integration
  • Collaborate with blockchain engineers to ensure optimal performance and security of the distributed ledger
  • Ensure high availability and disaster resilience of the application across the end-to-end tech stacks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, TechOps, or Cloud Architect, including at least 5 years working with AWS
  • Strongly desire experience with microservices in a production environment, particularly with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong Linux OS-level, command-line/scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python), and configuration management principles
  • Applicants should have a working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, and DynamoDB
  • Experience with compute provisioning on Cloud-based platforms using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
  • Experience in building a Microservice-based architecture
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to design and implement complex, but easily managed, automated infrastructure
  • A desire to share knowledge, teach, and learn as part of a collaborative team
  • AWS certifications are a plus
  • Experience developing or integrating with blockchain applications is preferred, but not required

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $200,000 depending on level. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office three days, with the flexibility to work remotely two days. Every department has different needs, and some positions will be designated in-office jobs, based on their function.
