Job Summary


The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the general supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide treatment to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and other conditions. This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential.



Responsibilities



  • Provide goal-directed treatment programs for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient care information and ensure the protection of patient rights
  • Assist with the development and implementation of occupational therapy care programs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration


Requirements



  • Graduate from an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • One to two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred, but entry-level graduates will be considered
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required upon hire
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
